When the main valve of the steam water system of thermal power unit leaks, it will produce the loss of steam water, waste resources and reduce the economy of the unit. Therefore, timely detection of valve leakage is important for the economic and safe operation of the group. In this paper, the main detection methods and the detection methods based on heat transfer theory are analyzed, which can realize the quantitative calculation of online valve leakage amount and judge the valve leakage state.

Valve is the most common and widely used thermal equipment in power plant. At present, there are many problems with valves in the power plant, including the leakage of working fluids caused by the lax closure of valves and the failure of the heater to operate normally as designed due to the poor regulating performance of some hydrophobic adjusting doors. Different valve positions in the system lead to different leakage probability and economic impact on the unit. In general, steam main pipeline, high-pressure cylinder exhaust pipeline, hot and hot steam pipeline, high-pressure cylinder body and other steam traps, due to poor working conditions, the possibility of leakage is large, the economic impact of the unit is also large; Although the leakage amount of some valves is small, the power plant is running continuously for a long time, which will cause considerable losses.
