2) Valve Details
1. Full bore design
3 Piece type; Side entry; Thick forged body and bonnet. |
2. Bolted bonnet connection
We used A193 B7/A194 2H to connect the body and bonnet. Our bolts are all whole thread, which is with firm tensile strength. |
3. Double Block and Bleed Function
When the valve is closed and the middle cavity is emptied through the discharge valve, the upstream and downstream seats will independently block the fluid at the inlet and outlet to realize double block function. |
4. Emergency Sealing Device
This ball valves is designed with sealant injection device on stem and seat. When the seat ring or stem O ring is damaged due to accident, the corresponding sealant can be injected by the sealant injection device to avoid medium leakage on seat ring and stem. |
5. Fire Safe Design
When resilient sealing materials are damaged or destroyed by a plant fire, edges of upstream and downstream metal seat retainers preloaded by seat springs come into contact with the ball to shut off line fluid to minimize internal leakage through the valve bore. |
6. Anti-Blow-out Stem
Our stem adopts the blow-out proof structure.The stem is designed with the footstep at its bottom so that with the positioning of upper end cover and screw, the stem will not be blown out by the medium even in case of abnormal pressure rise in the valve cavity. |
3) Usage
In terms of conditions of use, generally soft seals can reach a high level, while hard seals can be high or low according to requirements. Hard seals can generally be used at very high pressures, while soft seals cannot. Soft seals need to be fireproof, because at high temperatures, the material of the soft seal will leak, but the hard seal does not have this problem. The soft seal cannot be used in some occasions due to the problem of the flowing medium (such as some corrosive media).
